Chiropractic Care

Chiropractic care has a large scope of practice that leads to a variety of treatments with various goals of
care, it can get confusing at times.

At Mission Chiro our focus is on Musculo-skeletal injuries and disorders.  Focused treatments are applied
to the joints and the soft tissue surrounding them with the goals of increasing and restoring mobility,
relieving pain and restoring tissue integrity.  Rehab plans are often integrated at home or in the gym
with the goal of giving you the tools to maintain the improvements achieved once your treatment plan
has been completed.

Conditions

We treat conditions of almost any Muscle/Joint/Nerve complex ranging from:

  • Plantar Fasciitis
  • Shoulder impingements
  • Tension headaches
  • Other Injuries
    • eg. Torn hamstring from doing deadlifts at the gym, or
    • eg. ‘Tech neck’ from cramming out that presentation on your laptop at 2am
  • Back pain – There is an extensive array of reasons for your back to cause pain and limit your wellbeing.  We are experts in diagnosing and treating these as well.

Chiropractic Techniques

At Mission Chiro we employ the latest, most evidence-based treatments and protocols. Some of the
techniques we employ include:

  • Spinal mobilization and manipulation, often the most effective way to increase mobility.
  • Soft tissue mobilization including Active Release, Graston technique, Deep tissue release and PIR
stretching techniques utilized to reduce muscle tone and restore elasticity.
  • Shockwave treatment: the gold standard for treating many chronic soft tissue injuries, cutting edge
    treatment.
  • Home rehab programs: very often and integral part of the treatment plan, we try to give you the tools
to maintain the gains made in office helping you stay better, not just get better.  Our goal is to get you
better and have you stay better, in as few treatments as possible!
  • Postural Rehab: this deserves its own heading after so many of us have moved to home offices, often
with less-than-ideal ergonomics.  Re-establishing good posture and ergonomics can be realized, not only
solving many of the aches and pains you are experiencing but will prevent many other potential
problems from occurring down the road.
